On our second day we visited the Schönbrunn Palace, making use of Vienna’s fabulous public transport network to get there.
We visited all of it, including the rooms on the ground floor that Maria Theresa commissioned as they were cooler in summer, the State Apartments, and the Coach House. We explored the gardens, ate Wiener schnitzel for lunch, had tea, and enjoyed the gorgeous weather – the previous day had been rather cold!
