After a lot of driving on the 16th, we visited Branklyn Garden on the 17th, which are not much over 30 minutes driving from home. There was no need to get up early, and the gardens were spectacular with lots and lots of rhododendrons of many varieties in full flower, and plenty of Meconopsis as well.
