I met up with a friend at Arrochar, Loch Fyne. We sauntered around the head of the Loch to junction with the minor road to Succoth. There was some wonderful lighting as heavy showers drifted through from Glen Croe – luckily they missed us!
This pier was part of a Naval torpedo testing facility.
I had the massive thrill of watching gannets fish for the first time. Unfortunately I didn’t (and don’t) have a lens with sufficient reach to make anything worthwhile of them.
After our walk we had a splendid pub lunch at the Village Inn.
