I have a love/hate relationship with the teasels in my garden. They make wonderful photographic subjects, but they are nasty prickly things if accidentally handled!
If you look closely at this image you can see very fine threads of spider’s silk.
Most of them get cut down as they seed very freely, and some of them are where the prickles are more than a nuisance, but I always leave one or two.
