After her return to steam, Flying Scotsman paid a visit to Scotland. Along with many others I got out my long lens and stood on top of the multi-story car park at the Ferrytoll Park & Ride.
She was idling down from the bridge and the background of bright yellow gorse wasn’t ideal, but I was delighted to see her.
She is was turned out in her BR green livery, complete with smoke deflectors.
Personally I think there is almost no colour better than BR Green for almost any steam engine, other than Garter Blue on an A4 and black on Black 5s and Black 8s.
