The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (it’s formal title) are a short bus ride or walk (downhill) from the city centre. There are 70 acres of landscape, a wonderful range of plants, and something of interest any day of the year. There are wonderful Glasshouses, a Rock Garden, Alpine Houses, a Woodland Garden, and Arboretum and much more. In mid-July it was ablaze with colour.
