The scientific name for these is Bombus terrestris, and it’s one of the commonest bumblebees both in the UK and in my garden. I also have Tree bumblebees (Bombus hypnorum) which are absolutely massive! They all love the Philadelphus (Mock orange) and Weigela. I found them incredibly difficult to photograph.
