After many years I’ve started walking up some Munros, and the ones at Glenshee are relatively easy. The car park is at almost 2,200′ (665m) and there is a cracking café there. I did the round of the three to the West of the pass – Carn Aosda, Càrn a’Gheòidh, and The Cairnwell. This photo was taken from Càrn a’Gheòidh looking more or less east at The Cairnwell. The operator at the top of the chairlift gave me the go-ahead to use the mountain bike descent route, which save quite a bit of walking and time.
The summit is right on the border between Perthshire and Aberdeenshire, though it’s listed as in the former.
