There had been some snow and I went up West Lomond in wintery conditions. There was only a light breeze so in the sun it felt fairly warm, but underfoot was icy in places. I was glad I’d taken my Microspikes, which are similar to crampons. I felt completely secure on the descent.
The views are of Ben Cleuch in the Ochils, Ben Vorlich & Stùc a’ Chròin at the west end of Loch Earn, and Schiehallion.
