Meall nan Tarmachan M90 (30 Apr 2025)

It was a hot day. thankfully I could park the car at 450m / 1480′ which greatly reduces the effort needed! As always, I started good and early to enjoy cooler conditions, to ease the journey, and to be sure of getting parked!

The ascent runs through part of the Ben Lawyers NNR, so there were quite a few flowers in evidence though it was a bit early in the year for a lot of them.

I skipped the actual Tarmachan Ridge as the heat was taking it’s toll, and used an obvious path to descend. About 2/3 of the way down it vanished into a wet area never to be seen again!
