Our tourist days continued with more wonderful weather.
Doune Castle is fabulous, and the talking guide is humorously narrated by Terry Jones, of Monty Python fame. It’s also been used in the filming of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Game of Thrones and Outlander. One thing I loved about it is back when it was build the concept of the ‘pass’ between kitchen & serving area existed – except it was build in stone! There are also grooves in the stonework in the kitchen where the knives were sharpened.

We had a wander round Doune itself, and lunch at one of the cafes. Then it was on to watching feeding time at Argaty Red Kites. I took the ‘proper’ camera and my 150-450mm lens, which helped. The kites are fed every day, and produce quite a spectacle which I find very hard to take good photos of!
