Trewellard to Zennor (12 Oct 2025)

The toughest day of the five walking, with just over 10 miles and 2,900′ of ascent – more than many of my recent Munros! However, it was a very, very scenic one.

I started by walking past the remains of the Levant Mine, with Greevor Mine visible to the right. However as I rounded Pendeen Watch with it’s lighthouse, the industrial remains were mostly forgotten.

There were gorgeous coves and beaches, a lovely stretch of cliff-top walking without much up & down, and at the end a killer of a set of steps to ascend from Pendour Cove up to the track to Zennor.

One ‘amusement’ en-route was a gate that had dropped so much on it’s hinges I couldn’t open it! There was a big gap under it, so I crawled… The two chaps behind me were able to muster enough brute force to lift it.
