Anyone who has seen ‘Chariots of Fire’ has seen this beach – it was a stand-in for Broadstairs (Kent) and was used for the opening & closing shots of running on the beach. I love it, and went on that day as it was a pretty low tide. It was still going out for much of my walk, and the footprints in the 2nd image in the gallery are mine! The Oyster Catchers are lovely birds. The adults are black & white with bright red bills & legs.
