As always, I started good and early to enjoy cooler conditions, to ease the journey, and to be sure of getting parked!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ascent runs through part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nts.org.uk\/visit\/places\/ben-lawers\">Ben Lawyers NNR<\/a>, so there were quite a few flowers in evidence though it was a bit early in the year for a lot of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I skipped the actual Tarmachan Ridge as the heat was taking it&#8217;s toll, and used an obvious path to descend.
