I treated myself to a second hand lens, a Sigma DG 50-500mm 1:4.5-6.3 APO HSM. That’s a bit of a mouthful, and it’s a heavy beast as well that needs firm support to avoid camera…

Sometimes the swans on Gaddon Loch got lucky and someone would feed them. Here they are trekking back from the edge to one of the holes in the ice. There was a lot of goose…
